Monthly meetings

WE WELCOME VISITORS AT OUR MONTHLY MEETINGS.

JUST WALK IN, REGISTER AND PAY.

Our meetings are about growing plants, not club business. That is dealt with elsewhere.

(One exception is our AGM of about 30 minutes followed by the normal meeting agenda)

Place: Uniting Church Hall, 34 Barolin Street - corner of Barolin and Electra Streets.
Parking: in the street or at the rear of the Church via Electra Street.
Doors open 6.00 pm for signing in and a 6.30 pm start.
Fees: members $3.00, visitors $5.00.
Supper and socializing: from about 8.00 pm.
Finish: when you had enough or are reminded that 'Time is up', about 8.30.

OUR NORMAL AGENDA

Welcome visitors.
An invited speaker: an interactive talk about a topic of interest.
News from our coordinators: about workshops, garden visits, working bees or other activities.
The veggie challenge: members show the best of their garden or nominated crop.
Open forum: ask any question, raise any topic and or show any item of interest.
Tea-of-the-night: taste a different herbal tea - often home grown.
Supper: enjoy an extensive supper provided by members on a rostered basis.
Socialising: catch up with friends and meet new ones.

TABLES

Around the walls are a number of tables with 'things'.

Lucky door prizes: garden-related produce donated by members. Tickets at registration.
Recycling and give-away items: free items related to gardening or preserving.
Activities registration: our activities require registration for logistical reasons.
Library: members only.
BOGY Shop: Organic fertilisers for sale in small quantities, members only.
Information sheets: $0.20 each to cover printing cost.
For Sale items: members home-grown produce or certified organic produce for sale.
Seed-saving: we encourage saving seeds of heirloom and locally adapted varieties.
Supper: explained above, visitors please participate.

Once you are a member, you have easy access at the monthly meeting

to the BOGI shop and the Library.
